KEPDA ONLINE TRAINING ON NEWS SOFTWARE: A SUCCESSFUL FIRST DAY Kozri Etidyan ak Pwofesyonel Ayisyen (KEPDA) launched this Tuesday, December 19, 2023, a online training on the use of technologies in professional life. Guy Appolon launches the first session around the subject: “Better manage your business or your professional life in the digital age”. To introduce his presentation, Appolon first highlighted the advantages of new technologies and the dilemma highlighting the replacement of humans by machines. So, for 4 hours, he explained how software built from artificial intelligence can be used to develop a business. He also clarified that the latter will not replace humans, but improve their work. Shrugging his shoulders, in a serious and proud tone. Appolon says, “A tool like ChatGPT contributes to our advancement. It helps us write texts much faster, just as we do complex operations much faster using the calculator," he explained. If some experts believe that using ChatGPT software can make humans lazy, Appolon does not share this opinion. He preferably sees the opportunity that this software brings in writing rapid texts. To illustrate the importance of ChatGPT, he touched on one of his unfortunate experiences. In order to publish promotional articles on events and personalities in Haiti, he created a website for this purpose. Unfortunately, the project foundered; it was difficult to find editors to write the texts. This software, he says, "is an application that proves necessary in the production of images." Midjourney generates images on demand. And, Apollon decides to continue the show. Live on Midjourney, he created an image of a princess dancing with a robot in a desert. He specifies that this software is a major asset for influencers and users of social networks. Appolon says, they use it to create special images depending on their project. They can all create because "With Midjourney, it's only your imagination that stops you," Appolon said. If the images created by Midjourney are very widespread on social networks, it is certainly to avoid the use of photos or videos without copyright, he explained. After Midjourney, Appolon presented two other software: Leonardo and Looka. The first software, he explains, can also generate images, however it is more frequented by users looking for an alternative to the user fees that Midjourney requires. Concerning Looka, Appolon explains to the participants that it is a very well-known software in the business sector. It allows you to create logos by typing and selecting a simple description to a server. After a short break, the training is resumed. Appolon continues the second part with an overview composed of other software such as Renderforest, Hostinger, WordPress, Postly, Google Analytics and Odoo. The first session ended, leaving the participants wanting to continue exploring the parameters integrated into new software.
